Welcome to Art by Schnel watercolour and acrylic artwork! I have lived an interesting life, and watercolour and acrylic art has been the bright ribbon woven through each chapter. Living with a physical disability from birth and the journey of rehabilitation continues to significantly impact my abilities. It is however in part what ignited an interest in art at an early age. I explore themes in nature, nostalgia, and wildlife in my art. The style of my art spans the beauty of realism depicting nature and wildlife to the playful, whimsical style found in my whimsical animal art.

My indigenous connections especially add unique and personal touches to my subject matter and perspective. My passion for creating evocative art that resonates with others. The art reflects personal connections and inspires my practice. Specifically, I use the connections to evoke emotions, tell stories, and connect people so my mission is to harness the potential to express the beauty of nature, wildlife, and landscape through my eyes to create unique watercolour and acrylic art that captures the natural world and share it with you.

The use of a diverse range of mediums and surfaces, from paper and canvas to reclaimed wood, allows me to express creativity in various and meaningful ways.
