Work in Progress

I always have paintings on the go in the studio which is full of both watercolour and acrylic works in progress. I am quick to get a sketch down when inspiration strikes and take time to consider scale, palette of colours, and the story I want the painting to tell. I have learned taking my time is vital, even when l become inpatient. I take pictures of the work in progress and walk away for a few days and come back to consider each piece . The art directs whether it is complete or needs more development. There are times when I dislike the piece to the point of storing it. I never “throw out” any incomplete paintings as have brought them out months and years later to finish! I hope you enjoy viewing the art being created in the studio. I will update the page as work is completed and new ones come to life.
